Volunteer Children's Passport Scheme

Would you like to develop your skills, add new qualifications, brush up on your knowledge, or add to your CV this course is the one for you.
Amber Valley CVS will be hosting the following sessions:

The five three hour sessions will include:

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Keeping Children and Young People Safe
(Safeguarding and Mental Capacity)

Health and Safety

First Aid

Person Centred Working
(Positive Communication and Re-ablement)

The five sessions will be accredited through NCFE

Our News

VCI Passport Scheme
The VCI Passport scheme is aimed towards volunteers who are currently or thinking of working with children and younger people. i.e. children’s centre, sports clubs etc.,

To receive your passport you are required to complete the following 5 FREE half day training sessions……
Safeguarding,
Health & Safety,
First Aid Introduction,
Involving and Consulting Children & Young People,
Equal Opportunities,

Following completion of the requirements, the volunteer will be awarded with a certificate and a badge which allows them to be identified as an accredited volunteer for Derbyshire’s Children’s Trust. Badges will not be issued until we have proof of a current DBS check.

SH-SH - Stop hiding, self harm self help group
New Support group for anyone affected by self harm

The group is open to anyone over the age of eighteen from Derbyshire, we offer support through a self-help basis and there are various activities each session.
The group runs fortnightly on a Monday, the next meeting will be 27th May 5.45-7.45 at The Annexxe, Holywell Health Centre, Holywell Street, Chesterfield, S41 7SH.
