
AVEDASS - Amber Valley & Erewash Domestic Abuse Support Service
AVEDASS work with anyone who has been a victim of Domestic Abuse
Direct support is also offered to families through one to one support
including emotional and practical advice.
Referrals can be made to
Social Care for matters concerning child protection and more specialised
support in times of difficulties, such as child care and respite.
Amber Valley and Erewash Domestic Abuse Support Service (AVEDASS)
provides support for children and young people who have witnessed or
experienced domestic abuse. We provide emotional one to one support and
introduce social and leisure activities to help them gain confidence and
selft esteem.
A Domestic Abuse Awareness Programme has been devised and the service
provides a confidential service by offering youngsters:
- A listening ear
- Someone to talk to through difficult issues
- Someone who they can express their fears and experiences safely
